I love talking about me, so I love how I can dedicate a whole page towards ME! and nobody bats an eye at that, because that's what everybody does.

What about more than one about me page?

Do other people do that too?

I'm a sister, a daughter, a blogger, and a baker. In other words, I bake things -- until they're black.

It's a lot of fun.

Baker, burner, same difference in my book.

I'm a firm believer in eating. It keeps you alive.

I also believe in fast, easy, yummy. But that's what everyone says, so I don't really believe in those things.

I also like throwing ingredients in a pot and making something that may or may not be called edible. I'm not the most reliable cook/baker/burner on the planet, but I'm working on it.

Recently I've been trying to beat my mom in being able to just make up some delicious pasta, soup, dressing, etc. Good thing I'm young. I'm going to need all my life to try to succeed and overcome the impossible. A very frequent (and very apt!) remark in my family is "if it's good, we're never having it again" because Mom never follows a recipe. Needs more tomato, more garlic, less salt. Too bland, I'll add more. A pinch of this, a pinch of that (keep miss typing the word pinch and saying punch. Yeah, that's food at our house). By the time it's on the table, it's diverged so much from the original, that really it's Mom's recipe.

But most of the time she goes into the kitchen, pulls out ingredients, and does magic.

Edible magic.

I'd love to achieve that badge of "Non Recipe Follower", but it'll take a while.

I like to fantasize about my baking and cooking ability but it all boils down to (no pun intended) me not doing anything noteworthy. Not to mention good.

I've pinged a couple of recipes and I've tried some, I've made coffee after coffee after coffee until I'm addicted, I can chop onions like nobody's business until my eyes dissolve...

But I'm still not good at making up recipes/food/something that looks somewhere between gross and good.

And that's what I'm doing:

Making recipes, failing, blogging about it...

Much fun!

Really, I'll be following recipes, just like all the other food blogs out there.


Hopefully this will make you want to eat -- but mostly, read all my witty comments. haha! Just kidding, never heard of those before.
